Cause: 2.12.30 ex- lotus, ex- atlantis, ex- bolivania, ex- lugond, built 1900 by furness, withy & co. ltd., hartlepool, with 3 cylinder triple expansion engine of 320hp, single shaft, 3 boilers. owned at time of loss by a/s oddero. passage novorossisk for manchester. went ashore & holed on a rock 2.12.30 at porth da fach. crew of 35 rescuedrefloated 6.12.30 and beached at holyhead next day. refloated 10/11.1.31 and beached off penrhyn pt 5.2.31, for breaking up, where it became a total loss. (sibi).
