Cause: Built in 1885 by earles co ltd, hull. owned at time of loss by edward leetham, hull. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 300hp, single shaft. passage varna for hamburg. cargo wheat. sank following collision with ss lancashire in light winds and fog. no loss of life.

WCD SHOWED AN ADDITIONAL FEATURE WHICH HAD THE CURVING APPEARANCE OF A ROPE OR LINE ATTACHED TO THE WRECK BUT WAS NOT DEEMED TO BE A SOLID PART OF THE WRECK. (MMT, HI 1498).
