Load: non-ferrous elements and ores: unrefined and refined,metal: concentrate and products,ore

Cause: vessel, built in 1914 by harland & wolff and owned at the time of loss by elder dempster & co., was torpedoed and sunk by german submarine when returning home from west africa. 40 passengers and 37 crew lost. (dods). sunk by german submarine 3m n by e of point lynas whilst en route from lagos to liverpool. (ll ww1).
