Name: ANGOLA (PART OF)(POSSIBLY)

Length 79.2 meter, width: 8.8 meter, draught: 5.5, tonnage 1045 ton
Load: general and mixed goods

Cause: built in 1880 by r & j evans & co, liverpool. owned at time of loss by halton & cookson, liverpool. one boiler, compound expansion engine of 120hp, single shaft. passage gaboon for liverpool. general cargo. when at anchor about 1.5m nw 3/4 w from bar ltv was run into & sunk by ss 'reginald'.

EXTENSIVE AREA OF METAL PLATES LOCATED TOGETHER WITH A SINGLE BOILER ON ITS SIDE AND ENGINE COMPONENTS. HIGHEST PART OF THE WRECKAGE IS AT 13.2MTRS BELOW DATUM FROM DEPTH GAUGE AND PREDICTED TIDES. (C MICHAEL, LTR DTD 3.2.03). INS AS WK 13MTRS.
