Cause: ex-john hogo. buile in 1899 by j d dunlop & co, port glasgow. owned at time of loss by alondra ss co (yeoward bros). two boilers, triple expansion engine of 380 nhp, single shaft. passage lisbon for liverpool. drove ashore in fog. 13 men lost. (sii).

HIGHEST PART OF WK IS IN VICINITY OF BOILERS AND ENGINE WHERE THE WK MASS RISES TO ABOUT 12FT CLEAR OF THE SEABED. NON FERROUS METALS FROM THE WK HAVE BEEN PARTLY SALVAGED AND SOME LIMITED BLASTING HAS TAKEN PLACE. WK FILLS THE LITTLE BAY ON THE S SIDE OF KEDGE IS. WK AFFORDS NO HAZARD TO INSHORE SHIPPING WHATSOEVER. (R EDMONDS, MOD (FOR SALVAGE GROUP)). INS AS WK 1FM. BR STD. H1282/72 7.2.72 WK IDENTIFIED BY LOCAL KNOWLEDGE. FILLS LITTLE BAY IN S SIDE OF KEDGE I IN 512739.4N, 092044.8W. HIGHEST PART OF WK IN VICINITY OF BOILERS AND ENGINE ABOUT 12FT CLEAR OF SEABED. STEEL PLATES ALL GONE. NO HAZARD TO SHIPPING. (E GILES, UNDERMARINE OPS, 3.2.72). 4.9.75 CHARTED AS WK 1.8MTRS. NC 2129.
