POSN 494500N, 014300W FOR FILING ONLY. H1310/88/21 8.4.88 PRECISE POSN, DETERMINED BY SYLEDIS, IS 494518N, 014143W. AVERAGE DEPTH 60MTRS. ALMOST COMPLETELY BURIED IN SEABED WITH BOW BROKEN AND DETACHED FROM MAIN PART OF WK. ONLY DIVED BY NAVAL DIVERS UNDER STRICT CONTROL. ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEY (NO DISTURBANCE) IS PLANNED FOR APL/MAY '88. COMMERCIAL GUARD REQUESTED. (P ENAULT, 10.3.88). HH100/351/01 22.11.89 LIES WITHIN AN AREA OF MOBILE SANDWAVES AND IS ALMOST COMPLETELY BURIED. EXAMINED MAY-JUNE '89 BY A FRENCH/AMERICAN UNDERWATER ARCHAEOLOGICAL TEAM . LENGTH 70MTRS, WIDTH 15MTRS. LEAST DEPTH CONFIRMED BY DIVERS. (FRENCH NM 91 05 19 & FRENCH WK RECORDS). BR STD. 11.6.92 WK IS SUBJECT OF A BILATERAL TREATY BETWEEN GOVERNMENTS OF USA AND FRANCE WITH RESPECT TO THE PROTECTION AND STUDY OF THIS SITE. (LAW OF THE SEA BULLETIN, NO.20, MARCH 1992).
