Westerhaven is part of Stadshavens Medemblik B.V, quietly located but also located on the bustling center of Medemblik, on a large green zone on which you can barbecue and a small playground is present for the children. Stadshavens Medemblik consists of four ports. These ports were previously the municipal ports and were independent from May 2015 to one. The four ports consist of the Pekelharinghaven, Oosterhaven, Westerhaven and the Overleker Haven. The Port Authority also served the Kwikkelsbrug, the Westerhavensluis and the Blauwe Brug on behalf of the municipality. All ports on the Overleker Haven are within walking distance of the old city center of Medemblik.
