Recreation area De Bijland is a large water sports area of 300 hectares located near Lobith in the floodplains of the De Gelderse Poort nature development area. The area has been completely renewed and has modern and attractive facilities for both day recreationists and water sports enthusiasts. The Bijland is a split of important rivers: Rijn, Waal and the IJssel. Due to the open connection with the Rhine, the Bijland is easy to reach (kilometer pole 864). Thanks to this ideal location, the Bijland is ideally suited as a base or stage for trips on Dutch waters. But the area is also very suitable for other forms of recreation. For example, the Gelderse Poort is an ideal walking, cycling and skating routes area. From the tourist transfer point the Bijland you can well start the many marked routes new is Jumbo supermarket 300 m away
