The lock in Aadorp is the coordination centre for the canal. You must register at this lock if you wish to sail on the channel. Inland waterway vessels shall report visibility for registration in IVS90, the inland waterway reporting and tracking system. If you come from the direction Coevorden, your expected arrival time will be passed on by the bridgekeeper of the Monier Bridge to the lock guard of the Coevordesluis. In summer, you may experience delays in busy periods. We do our best to operate the Coevoersluis at least once an hour.
