This is how the route planner works
If you use the Water Map Live app, you can plan and save sailing routes yourself. The route takes into account the height of bridges (and locks) on your route. Using the route planner is simple, on this page we explain how it works.
The tidal curve
On the tides page you will find the prediction of the astronomical tide for 91 places in the Netherlands. You will also find the tidal curve here, not only with the astronomical forecast, but also with the current expectations of the tide influenced by wind and current. And that's really helpful: the curves provide by far the most reliable approximation of the expected water level.
